SCOTT INNES Promo Card...Now With CAPTAIN CAVEMAN!

I also had to go back into Scott Innes' Autograph and Promotion photo card and add Captain Caveman into the picture. Scott was recently cast to take the part and is now doing the voice of him for the WB. So we now have 22 characters total on a page! There are more, but these are the main ones or known ones that he's done voices for.

My SCOOBY-DOO Art in the new COUNTRY WEEKLY MAGAZINE!

My Scooby art is in the new Country Weekly Magazine this week! I just picked up copies of the magazine in the local Wal-Mart tonight and it printed great! The article is all about Scooby voice-actor Scott Innes, and I got my name dropped as well at the end of it when they mention Hal & Al! The art of Scott with Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy was a piece that I did for him as his press photo back in 2007. He now uses the new one that I did last year, which has 20 characters that he's done voices for over the years. You can find that on my blog if you search for it. Here's a post of the cover and 3 page story from Country Weekly! Click on the images to view them full size so you can read the article! Check your newsstands and pick up a copy this week! Newspapers and magazines are in danger of going away so support your favorite magazines before they are gone!

SCOTT INNES Promotes His New Book On WAFB TV In Baton Rouge!

And He dropped my name during it! A second of glory! WooHoo! It's funny though that the spot is 2 minutes and 35 seconds long. That's the same length of our segments for the Hal & Al Show! Ah, TV limitiations! You can buy it at ScottInnes.com. He has a small batch of books so far, but more are still being printed at Baker Printing so we'll have the full order hopefully soon.

SCOTT INNES "CARTOONS & COUNTRY MUSIC" Book Advertisement!

Here is one of the ads for Scott's new book that I did for one of the magazines down south. It was done and the refigured for different formats for other newspapers and magazines. His first book signing is tonight!

SCOTT INNES - "CARTOONS & COUNTRY MUSIC" Book Cover!

This weekend I sit and finish up writing Scott Innes' new book and putting the final touches on it. It's called Cartoons & Country Music - My Life in the Shadow of a Dog! It's slated for the printer and I have to get it out of here by today or Monday. It's been completely updated from the last one version that was released in 2002 and this will be the only book that he does again for a long time so I'm trying to get it right. Older chapters had stuff added to them and there are a bunch of new chapters added, such as a chapter on me and our working relationship with Hal & Al and other of Scott's PR stuff that I've done. There's also a new chapter about Hal & Al, which is quite good. Hal & Al will have their own book at some point since it seems to be getting bigger and bigger. This book will also have a LOT of photos in it, and that was where most of my time yesterday was focused on getting them in order and labeled correctly. Here's the cover art for the book. Eagle-eyed fans of mine will see that this cover is similar to the Scooby-Doo "Earth Day" comic cover I did in April 2008.

Some will ask why does Scott even have a book? Is it a vanity project? It is that, but the original book came into play because he kept getting asked how he got the job of voicing Scooby-Doo back between 1997-2002 for the movies. He got so tired of being asked it, and telling a shortened version of it, that he thought he'd write a book about it where it explained it all in depth. It's a good chapter of the book. Hanging out with him when I travel down south for Hal & Al stuff, people do still ask him how he got the part, so now he'll have this new book to promote. He has met a LOT of famous celebrities and done some cool stuff so it's a fun read. Kids would also enjoy it since it will also be in a bigger font and like a 'young adult novel' melded with a scrapbook.

Scott's still doing the voices of Scooby and Shaggy (Shaggy even more now) and has been for since 1997 for licensed products and such as the new Scooby-Doo Interactive DVD Game that came out late last year where he did Shaggy's voice. Hopefully he'll be doing the DVD movies again soon!

This new book should be out by early March and available online at his website, which is located at http://www.scottinnes.com/!

I sat in with Scott as he did his radio show in the afternoon so I snapped some pics of him on December 2nd as I was lounging on the couch next to him killing time.

The New HAL & AL CHRISTMAS CD And SCOTT INNES WARM & FUZZIES CD! Back From Manufacturing & Now Available!

If it's one thing I really love it's seeing new product. When one works so hard on something and it finally comes to fruition and you can hold it in your hand, it's pure magic to me! Scott Innes mailed me a box of these new music CD's (which I got on Friday morning) and they look BEAUTIFUL! I love taking the cellophane wrapping off of a new item! These pics don't do them justice since the lighting wasn't great when I took them. I'm real proud of how they turned out and from music production to art direction to manufacturing this is pure top shelf quality! I'll put these up against ANY children's CD's in any store! I listened to the new Hollywood Hal & Rhinestone Al 'Christmas in Wannabeeville, USA' CD twice on Friday as I drove down to teach my class at DCAD. I listened to it on the ride down and then again on the ride back. It's a GREAT Christmas CD and it's a lot of fun! Grammy-nominated artist and Hal & Al composer, Nelson Blanchard, really did stupendous work! Scott Innes and Jim Hogg wrote some great songs that not only take the famous versions that you know, but added some Hal & Al flair to each and every track! And I will pat myself on the back for making it all look pretty!

Scott Innes Warm & Fuzzies is a great CD too and it's a great mix of songs and radio show Christmas wish moments from his radio DJ work at WYNK radio! You can also download ALL the tracks off of Scott's Warm & Fuzzies CD for FREE (yes, I did say for FREE!) at http://wynk.com/pages/scottinnes2.html! Just scroll down a bit and you'll see Scott's CD cover art on the left side and a link below it to click to start the download! All the tracks are in a zip file, which are easy to extract. You'll need the WinZip software to open it though, but that's a free download too. The beauty of both these CD's is that they are also for FREE and we'll be handing them out to kids and fans at the Hal & Al live concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 30th! I'll be onhand as well helping set up and doing Hal & Al work and I'll be taking pics of Hal & Al performing! I'll be bringing some more CD's back with me and I'll have them here to add into a box or five when I get some Christmas art sales going here online! I may also get a batch of both CD's that fans of my blog can get as well! The CD's will be free, but naturally there will be a shipping charge of like $2 or $3 bucks to ship both. Keep checking back as I hope to have things up and running when I get back from my trip down south!

HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS - New Logo For Scott Innes' Yearly Charity

Here's the new logo I whipped together for Scott Innes' yearly charity thing. Done in about an hour after I played around with finding a font I liked. It's simple and was done for a small area on the http://www.wynk.com/ website where people will be able to click and donate. The second design is the same, but I had to add the Neighbors Federal Credit Union logo to it since they are a sponsor for it as well and they need a logo for their clients to see for their own site and emails they will send out.

The last logo here that is all in red on white is will be a one-color t-shirt design that will be made. I like the simplicity of it and how it's kind of 'boxed in' to frame it better. It should be up on the wynk site by the end of the week!

UPDATE: The logo is now up! http://www.wynk.com/pages/scottinnes2.html

SCOTT INNES "WARM & FUZZIES" - Music CD Art & Design!

Here is the final artwork for Scott Innes' new CD called Warm & Fuzzies! This is a free CD that will be passed out at promotional events that Scott and WYNK Radio will be doing. It's a lot cooler than a t-shirt that most places do and it has songs and other feel good Christmas things on it that Scott has done on the radio over the years at WYNK (WYNK 101.5 in Baton Rouge). I did the CD art two weeks ago and it's now being manufatured at Oasis CD Manufacturing (where all our Hal & Al stuff is manufactured as well). The cover art with Scooby is a tweaked piece of art that was used on a cover of a Scooby comic I did a year ago. I had to digitally fix it make Scooby look like he was sleeping and reorganize the layers of the art to make it work for a CD cover format. The back cover uses elements of the Christmas card I did for Scott a few years ago. I reused a lot of stuff to get it done in between all my other gigs I got going on so I'm glad that this wasn't a four or six-panel CD layout. Being just a two-panel folder layout helped to keep it simple without craming too much in. I think it came out looking great! Thanks to Rollin' Homes for sponsoring it! You'll also be able to download all the tracks for FREE at WYNK.com when it is released officially! Who doesn't like free stuff?!

Autograph Card For SCOTT INNES And All The Characters He's Voiced Over The Last 10 Years!

Here is the new autograph card I put together for my friend and voice-over actor/radio DJ Scott Innes. He wanted a new piece of art to use as an autograph card with all the characters that he's done voices for over the last 10 years! We put the 21 most popular characters, or better known ones, that Scott has voiced on it. Jon Alderink gave me the assist in helping me color the cartoon characters to get this sucker done as it was on my list of things to do for several months now. It came out great and really pops in color. Do you know the names of all the characters?

There's Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Scrappy-Doo, Bandit (from Jonny Quest), Muttley, Astro (from The Jetsons), Shag-Along (from The Hillbilly Bears), Yogi Bear & Boo Boo, Snagglepuss, Wally Gator, The Creeper (from Scooby-Doo), Hollywood Hal (the character I created with Scott), Quick Draw McGraw, Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Mr. Slate (Fred's boss on the Flintstones), Professor Pat Pending (from the Wacky Racers), Popeye, Bluto, and Mark, the leader of G-Force (from Battle of the Planets)!
