MIKEY CONGER Meets Scooby-Doo Artist!

On Thursday Night, December 4th, I met with Michael “Mikey” Conger, an 8-year-old Prairieville, Louisiana native who has fought a debilitating series of cancer-related complications. With the help of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Mikey is now in remission. I met Mikey through one of Scott Innes' Christmas Wishes that he does for St. Jude's (Scott has done a ton of work for St. Jude's over the past ten years) and he made Mikey's wish of meeting a professional Scooby-Doo artist come true by having me visit him. We went to the Conger's home and I spent about an hour with him drawing and talking with his mother about Mikey and how he has just recently been picking up a pencil again and drawing! She was really excited by it and to see him moving on. He had stopped drawing when it was just too hard for him to even hold a pencil after all his treatments. It was a great visit and Mikey gave me one of his drawings! Scott shot the visit and it will be on YouTube at some point and it will be cut into the Hal & Al TV show as well.
